PLAYING LEAGUE MESSAGES:

UPDATED 03/08/2012

In 2010 CYSA approved  policies that permit all Competitive and Recreational teams in the Under 16, Under 17, Under 18 and Under 19 age groups to roster a maximum of 22 players on a team.  It is important that coaches, players and parents are aware that only up to 18 players are eligible to be "activated" on the team's game roster in any individual game. At this time, Under 15 and younger teams may have 18 players

Special Announcement:  All U11 Teams will play 8 v 8 beginning in the Fall 2010 season, playing on U10 fields.  In 2012, in order to help prepare for participation in U12, U11 teams will play 11 v 11 in the CCSL Spring League.

Competitive Fall: U09 - U19 CYSA Teams may sign up for the CYSA Cal Soccer (CCSL) State Playing League.  Teams will have approximately 10 games scheduled on non (CYSA) tournament weekends from September to November.  Team Entry forms and fees are due by May 15th.  For more information:   CYSA Cal Soccer League

Competitive Winter:  For the District 5 Playing League, U16 - U19 teams will have approximately 6 games.  Games will likely start in January and finish in time for A-Cup.  Team Entry forms and fees are due by June 1st.  The CCSL also offers a Winter League but at this time our Bronze and Copper teams generally choose to sign up for the local program.

Competitive Spring:  U09 - U19 CYSA Teams may sign up for the CYSA Cal Soccer (CCSL) State Playing League.  The league will schedule 8 to 10 games between the end of March and the third week of May.  For more information:   CYSA Cal Soccer League

Recreational Fall: For the District 5 Playing League, U16 - U19 boys and girls teams have approximately 10 - 12 games.  League games will start the 3rd week of September, with final games the weekend prior to Thanksgiving.  Team Entry forms and fees are due by June 1st.
