CHANGE OF DISTRICT V MEETING DATE:
   The meeting will be on April 24, 2001, because of spring break as I will be out of town.  Please call the appropriate coordinator if you have any question.

DISTRICT MEETING:    The next District V meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at 7:30pm at the Rohnert Park Soccer Office at 7450 Santa Barbara Drive, Rohnert Park, CA.

ASSOCIATION CUP 

CLASS I:   Coordinators may contact Marja at (707-762-8368).

CLASS III:   Please send Patricia the names, address, phone number and email address of your leagues Class III coordinators.  Patricia email address is bluem00n55@aol.com, she may be reached by phone at 707-252-4570.

COACHING:   Remember coaching course can be given any time of the year.  Leagues can set up your coaches clinics now, by have your league-coaching director set the desired date, alternate date, a check for $400.00 made payable to CYSA and mail the request to Henry Bills at 1161 San Antonio Drive, Rohnert Park, CA 94928.

GUEST PLAYER SINGLE EVENTS FORMS:    Please be sure and use the new form, if you use the old one it will be returned.  All CYSA tournament single event forms are to be sent to Steve Pinner for approval, at least 10 days before the tournament. Coaches may not have more than (18) eighteen players on their roster at any time. Please do not sent them to me, as Steve has to check the teams roster to see if the team is eligible to take guest players.

JAMBOREES:   PLEASE REMEMBER TO REMIND YOUR COACHES THAT THEY MUST HAVE THEIR LEAGUE’S AND THE DISTRICT’S APPROVE TO HOST OR ATTEND A JAMBOREE. JAMBOREES MAY NOT BE HOSTED ON A CYSA TOURNAMENT WEEKEND IN DISTRICT V IN WHICH THE HOME LEAGUE IS HOSTING A TOURNAMENT. Remember to give the coaches the new request to host a jamboree form and the application form. 

ODP:   District V has a new head coach for ODP this season (Ben Ziemer) and this year we also are having an administrator.  Tryouts for ODP will be held May 12th and 13th and June 2nd and 3rd at the field in Petaluma.  Flyers will be out this next week.

OUT OF STATE SINGLE EVENT GUEST PLAYER forms must be to me 7 days before the date the team leaves.   Coaches may not take more than (18) eighteen players on their travel roster at any time. Teams may use up to six guest players providing the out of state tournament allows that many guest players.  Players from other districts may be used as guest players with the permission of the coaches, leagues and District Commissioners.  DO NOT ASK FOR GUEST PLAYER OUT OF DISTRICT VII.

OUT OF STATE TRAVEL:   PLEASE INFORM YOUR COACHES OF THIS POLICY. When traveling out of state, this includes Southern California; the team must have travel papers signed by the league, CYSA office and me.  ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN THE BLUE TRAVEL ROSTER IN DISTRICT V.  PAPERS WILL BE RETURNED IF THEY ARE NOT COMPLETED CORRECTLY.  Travel papers must be submitted to me 45 days in advance of your travel date.  PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THE TEAM ROSTER INCLUDING ALL ADDS, RELEASES, AND TRANSFERS. Please remember to enclose the necessary envelopes, correctly addressed and postage with a check made out to CYSA for $10.00.  Follow the instructions on the back of the form.

REFEREES:   If your league would like to set up a class please send Dave the two different dates that you would like to have a class along with a check for $270.00 made out to CNRA for each class you would like. If you do not sent dates, the time and the place for the class you will not receive the class until you do. If you have any questions, please contact Dave Durbin 1924 Indian Valley Road, Novato, CA. 94947 or phone him at 415-897-8795.  Referee courses will be listed on the District V web site when the Webmaster receives them.

REGISTRATION:   Everyone should be up and running on Winreg, if your league is not on yet please contact Steve now.

PROPOSED RULES CHANGES:    Proposed rule changes will be voted on at the district meeting this month.

STATE CUP:   The following teams will be advancing to the quarters to be played at Morgan Hill April 21.  Girls U14 Santa Rosa Storm, Central Marin Magic, U16 Central Marin Sting, U17 Santa Rosa Thunder, U18 Marin Rockers, Boys U14 Santa Rosa Magic, U15 Santa Rosa Celtic, U16 Marin United, U16 Santa Rosa Heat, U16 Marin Arsenal, U16 Dixie Stompers, U17 Santa Rosa Rebels, and the U18 Santa Rosa Sharks.

SEND-OFFS AND RED CARDS:   There were eight send-offs from the preliminary rounds for State Cup this year, last year it was three. What happened?

TOURNAMENTS:   The CYSA tournament schedule will be sent to the leagues on April 15, 2000.  They will be on the CYSA web page on the morning of April 16, 2001.  Remember the tournament director meeting for all league tournament directors is April 20 and 21 at the Fremont Marriott.  If you need further information please contact the CYSA office at 925-426-KIDS.
